On my previous post, I made Hong Kong style eggtart which uses short crust pastry. egg yolks. Needless to say, after weeks of eating Hong Kong style eggtarts I guess we will say sayonara to those tarts for quite a while

Recipes with salted egg yolk are becoming popular in Singapore and Malaysia, especially salted egg yolk cooked with seafood, salted egg yolk custard buns, croissants and many more
The method here is slightly different, I have used pure salted egg yolk powder instead and it's really convenient to use as there is no need to wash away the thick layer of salted charcoal paste, no need to separate the egg yolk and egg white, no need to steam or mashed the cooked egg yolks
It's described as similar to muffin with a whole egg inside, and tasted both sweet and savoury. It's sold by street vendors all over Korea and apparently very popular during winter as people are attracted by the sweet aroma and steaming hot egg bread to warm the tummies
I hadn't been baking eggtarts for a long time. Add in the egg and knead into a dough. I preferred these normal crusts than those flaky types or Portuguese tarts
Ok so this tart is baked specially for my Brother in Law. Haha becoz your beloved wife said it was Borrring when I suggested it so she recommended a lemon tart
