Ingredients

  • 1½ instant yeast
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tbsp five spice powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ piece fermented bean curd
  • 1. Mix all the ingredients in your mixer bowl, and knead it into a smooth dough.
  • 2. Cover the dough with a cloth and allow it to proof for 30 minutes.
  • 3. Punch out the air from the dough and roll it into a rectangular shape, spread the fillings evenly and roll the dough up.
  • 4. Cut the dough into equal portion and flatten it. Allow the dough to proof for another 15 minutes.
  • 5. Heat up the oil to deep fry the ham ji peng until golden brown. Dish
